Negate the fear, beat the terror.

Yesterday the whole Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG community received the news that YCS Lille has been cancelled.

I should analyze the causes of the fact making use of my knowledges about politics but I think it’s worthless right now.

This article is about us, the players, and is an invitation to not get the fear win against our minds and souls.

In every international event I attended I had the opportunity to meet people from almost everywhere in Europe and few more countries around the World, all together for a reason: we all like this game.

Obviously there are Muslim, Christian, Atheist, Jude etc…players, different people in lots of traditions and thougts but we share the passion for this hobby which makes us spend money for trips and accomodations and that’s the point: we have to focus on what makes us a community and not on what makes us different, nevermind if our name is James or Abdullah, we don’t have to put that into account, that’s what the terrorists want.

I want to invite you, to beg you all, to deny any hate message, to forget which God are the player next to you praying to; religions were always used to justify evil actions all the History long, no differences between the ancient Paganism and the Monotheisms we have right now.

On Tuesday Konami will update informations about an alternative location, hope you all will come all the way showing we can beat the terror with brotherhood.

Solemn Judgment is banned from Advanced Format but we can still use it to negate the fear, to negate the hate, to be more united than before.

We’re different, but differences enrich us more than analogies.

At the next event i’ll wear as a necklace a Solemn Judgment and just under it there will be this hashtag:

#INegateTheFear

Hope you all will join this.
